About me, Susan!

Because you need to know who is speaking into your life, right?

I'm Susan...I love God, my husband, kids, and Young Living!  My life has been a journey of figuring out what foods fuel my body and which leaving me feeling lousy.    Along that journey I ended up at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for Health Coaching certification, where I was introduced to Young Living.    Young Living's essential oils and other products have been such an amazing addition to our life.  They fit in perfectly with my mission ~ to help people feel awesome from the inside out, both physically and emotionally.     Lest you think I have it allllll together, let me assure you this "health" thing...it's not a destination you reach.  It's an ongoing journey.  Our bodies change, our lifestyles change... it's a process & it can be so cool when you can learn about what your body needs.  I am, and I'm convinced, always will be a BIG fan of chocolate.  I have days I don't drink enough water...and so many more "real" things.  I say these things because they are true, and so that you know there is someone relatable out there to walk with you.  Let's talk and see if I can help you figure out how to get further along your path to learning and appreciating your body!  It could be fun...and it WILL be good.

My Training

I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

My Approach

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
